Election Information Meetings
There will be two optional in-person information meetings this year! The first one will be held during Welcome Week on Sunday, August 28th at 2:00 pm in the May Room of Wilson Commons (4th floor). There will be refreshments provided, and you will also have the opportunity to talk to many members of SA Government at this event! The second will be held on September 4th at 6:30 pm in Genesee 325. If you are not able to attend either of these meetings, please watch the elections information video instead, as this information will be needed in order to pass the elections quiz. The election information video will be uploaded soon!
Registration of Candidacy
To formally register as a candidate, complete the Election Candidacy Submission before September 6 at 12 p.m. (noon) EST. In order to do so, you must first take the Election Rules Quiz, which you can retake as many times as necessary. After you complete the Election Rules Quiz, you will receive a confirmation email containing your results and a link to the Election Candidacy Submission form. If you did not pass the test, you must retake it until you pass before submitting the Election Candidacy Submission form. Once you pass the test, fill out the Election Candidacy Submission form.
Make use of the campaign period to properly get your platform out to the voters. Be sure to follow all campaigning rules and policies. The Fall 2022 campaign period begins on September 8 at 10:00 a.m. EST and ends on September 16 at 11:59 p.m. EST. (EST). Make sure you do not campaign outside of this time period. Also, please make sure that all of your campaign materials are taken down no later than 48 hours after the voting period has ended.
Voting will take place through a link on this website and on CCC. Elections utilize affirmative voting, so students may vote for as many candidates as they like. Voting will begin on September 15 at 10:00 a.m. and will end on September 16 at 11:59 p.m. Expect unofficial results of voting on September 17 by 11:59 p.m.
