AIChE is an important organization for professional chemical engineers to be a part of, and you can get started by becoming an active member of our school’s chapter! Here’s how:

1. Become a member of UR AIChE through the University of Rochester’s Campus Community Connection (CCC) portal

The CCC portal gives students access to information on all events and Student Association recognized organizations. You can find our organization by signing in using your NetID and password. By selecting “Join Organization” on our page, you officially join UR AIChE, and will join our mailing list via your U of R email address. Email is our organization’s primary method of disseminating information on meetings, upcoming events, etc.

2. Become a student member of the national parent association, AIChE

The national AIChE organization is important for chemical engineers. They provide a host of resources, including webinars, news and journal articles, job links, etc. As an undergraduate student, becoming a member is FREE! Membership is required to take advantage of many of AIChE’s resources, including their student conferences, scholarship opportunities, and Chem-E-Car competitions.
