UR AIChE organizes on-campus speaker events to educate students about the broad scope of professional opportunities that exist for chemical engineers beyond their 4 years of college. Speakers typically include U of R alumni and faculty that have substantial experience in leadership roles, highly specific industries, and non-traditional jobs. Speakers attend these sessions in person or through videoconferencing depending on their availability. These events are a great chance for students to learn about what chemical engineers really do, ask questions, and determine if a particular career might be right for them.
