Students’ Association Appropriations Committee

Plan for your organization's future. SAAC is responsible for managing the finances of the Students’ Association in a way that is both fiscally responsible and in the best interest of the University of Rochester student body. The Students’ Association (SA) budget is funded entirely by the AS&E Undergraduate Student Activity Fee contributed by each student, as part of their tuition. For this reason, it is our top priority to allocate funds in a manner that will cultivate positive student experiences.

Creating a new Student Organization

Click below to see the process of creating a Student Organization. New Organization Proposals are only accepted in the Fall Semester starting after the Activities Fair and are due by December 1st.

Student Organization Annual Review (SOAR)

The Student Organization Annual Review (SOAR) should be filled out by all College Student Organizations at the University of Rochester and should be submitted to the Student’s Association Administration & Review Committee. This year's SOAR deadline will be announced soon.

SAAC During COVID

Due to COVID-19 there will be no open in-person office hours for the Fall of 2020 and drop-in meetings will not be accepted.
SAAC will be adhering to revised funding Guidelines during COVID and all Student Organization budgets are frozen until further notice.
Funding can still be acquired by receiving approval through the COVID Event Proposal process (a link to the COVID Funding Request form will be provided in the chat of the approved form).
Supplemental funding can be requested for Club Sports Uniform Funding, Equipment Supplemental, and access to Exceptional Student Organization funds by using the COVID Supplemental Funding Request link
