It\u00a0started\u00a0early\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0with\u00a0the\u00a0<wbr \/>preparation\u00a0of\u00a0our\u00a0cars\u00a0to\u00a0<wbr \/>pass\u00a0tech\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0and\u00a0ended\u00a0late with\u00a0the\u00a0\u201csix-hour\u201d endurance race planned from\u00a0<span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_366314200\"><span class=\"aQJ\">6 pm to midnight<\/span><\/span>. The time in between these two events was full of car fixing acceleration and Baja-cross events, food, team camaraderie (and shenanigans), and short naps.<\/p>\n<p>Then endurance took over the evening. I\u2019m not going to lie; the course walk intimidated me. Our team president \u2013 although possibly being overdramatic expressed concern several times that the cars wouldn\u2019t be able to make it up the hills. The course was full of jumps, logs, mud, drops, you name it, it was there somewhere. However, once I got in the car, the fear disappeared. It was like driving go-carts on steroids. We survived the endurance race without sustaining major damages to either of the cars.
