Clothesline Project - [ link ] Upcoming Events Getting ready for Love Your Body Day! We're making pins that say "I love my body" (and decorated) that we hope to get lots of people to wear on the 20th. We're also making pink ribbons (Oct. is Breast Cancer Awareness Month). We're also making a banner that says "I Love My Body" or something like that at the top. Wednesday, October 20: Love Your Body Day! We'll be tabling 10-5 in Wilson Commons to get more people to make pins and take ribbons and sign the banner. Then we have banner spaced reserved for the next week to hang it up in Wilson Commons. We're hoping to get some prominent women on campus (Jody Asbury is what we thought of first, maybe Nora Bredes, any other profs we can etc) to sign it, too, and wear buttons or ribbons. Monday, October 25: Exec Board Meeting, 9 p.m., WC 122 This is the tentative date for our SAFE training. Please come if you can! We’ll e-mail reminders. Thursday, October 28 (tentative): Movie Night We'll be showing "Iron-Jawed Angels," an HBO movie about women suffragists that was suppose to be very good. Time, location, etc. TBA. Watch for updates. Monday, November 1: General Meeting, 9 p.m., Ruth Merrill Center This meeting will be about election issues. We're going to try to gather up info about state/local candidates for the area that people might not know about, especially people who just switched their registration to Rochester, and let people know how they voted on women's issues. Monday, November 8: Exec Board Meeting, 9 p.m., WC 122 Monday, November 15: General Meeting, 9 p.m., Ruth Merrill Center Topic TBA. Monday, November 22 (tentative): Sexual Assault Awareness Day Events TBA, and suggestions welcome! Tuesday, November 23: Cookie Booth! We’ll be helping out a local Girl Scout troop raise money with cookie sales in Wilson Commons. Before the event, we’ll be postering around campus for them. No, you don’t need to actually sell cookies. The Girl Scouts will be here from about 3:45 to 6:00, so spread the word! Saturday, December 4 (tentative): Trip to Susan B. Anthony House About
