UR FOOT 2008
WOOO HOOO - UR FOOT 2008!! - We hope you're as excited as we are to have you participate in this years UR FOOT program. The following paragraph, along with links found on this page should clear up a lot of your questions and concerns. If they dont, feel free to email any of the UR FOOT Trek Leaders at urfoot@gmail.com, and well be sure to get right back to you!
On Thurs. Aug 21st, we ask you to arrive anytime before 4:00pm so you can get your room key and 'check in' while the Residential Life Office is still open. I'd suggest getting there as early as you can so you have time to get settled into your dorm and maybe even have a nice lunch with your parents. :)
Upon arrival - you will go to your assigned dorm's Residential Life Office, the location of which can be found on the map below. If you live in Susan B. Anthony Hall, you will find the office on the end of Gates Wing, (accessed from the outside of the building) and if you live in Hoeing, Gilbert, or Tiernan the office is located in between Hoeing and Gilbert (also accessed from the outside).
When you get there, one of our UR FOOT Leaders will be ready and waiting to help you unload your (full) car into your room! You will also have the cell phone number of your UR FOOT leader just in case something should happen while traveling (or if our map fails you...) You will have until 5pm to get settled in your new residence, because at 5, we ask you (students) to meet us on the steps of Wilson Commons. These are large, brick, and located right next to the small clock tower across from the gym. Here we will introduce everyone and walk over to Genesee Valley Park and indulge in the (vegitarian, and non-vegitarian friendly) BBQ! We do ask that parents say their goodbye's before 5, as the BBQ is for the students only (sorry!) After the BBQ, we head back to our dorms, where leaders will do a quick gear-check with their trek, to save time in the morning. After that its to bed, as Friday morning will be an early start for the trips!
