The Petition Statement:

“I support the right of free individuals to decide for themselves which substances are appropriate for use in their own bodies based on the information available to them.

I reject arbitrary distinctions between substances such as alcohol and marijuana, and the forcible impositions of such distinctions.

Non-violent marijuana users do not belong in our over-crowded prison system. This serves no benefit to society, and is a gross infringement of the rights of these individuals.

Our government should be using the limited resources of the tax payers to protect rights, not infringe upon them.

I support the legalizaiton of marijuana.”
