Fashionably Late Program Funding Guidelines

1. Funds are available to recognized University of Rochester organizations, student groups, and departments
only. The organization's advisor or primary department officer, or approved designee, must be present at the
program/activity for its entirety and ultimately is responsible for the supervision of funds.

2. The Total Funding Request generally may not exceed $350 per event.

3. The "Fashionably Late Program Request for Funding" application must be received by the Student
Activities Office in 201 Wilson Commons at least 1 month prior to the event.

4. While all UR student groups, recognized organizations, and University departments are eligible, Fashionably
Late Program funding preference will be given to groups that:

a. Demonstrate a willingness and ability to assist in the funding of the program/activity;
b. Are collaborating with at least one other recognized organization or student group in sponsoring the
program/activity;
c. Propose a program/activity that has the greatest potential to attract late night patrons/participants.

5. Programs/activities for which funding is being requested must be sponsored on Friday or Saturday evening.
Programs must begin no earlier than 9pm and extend until at least midnight or conclude no later than 2am.

6. Programs/activities funded to any degree by the Fashionably Late Program Fund must be open and equally
accessible to all members of the University community in accordance with UR policies and must be apolitical and
non-religious in nature.

7. A program/activity for which funding is being requested must take place in available and properly reserved
University space or approved off campus locations. All University space reservation and use policies and
procedures will apply and cannot be superceded by Fashionably Late program/activity planning or production.

8. All ticket/fee proceeds and unused funds beyond the cost of the program/activity must be returned to the
FLP fund. Groups may not use Fashionably Late Program funds to fundraise or underwrite any costs associated
with a program/activity from which a net financial profit is realized.

9. Funds may only be requested for a program/activity, that otherwise would not be possible without FLP
funding support.

10. Funds may be requested for light refreshments (punch, soda, pretzels, chips) in support of a program/activity
that also features films, arts and crafts, entertainment, a performance, games or a tournament or competition of
some nature.

11. If there will be food at your event, a temporary food event request application form may be required to the
Sanitarian's Office at least 10 business days prior to the event date. Information concerning the name of the
organization, person in charge, time, place, type of foods involved, and locations of preparation sites will be
requested. The information provided on the Temporary Food Event Permit will help determine if a permit is
required. If a permit is required, the fee will be $20.00. Please consult the Fashionably Late Coordinator, and
UR Sanitarian at www.safety.rochester.edu/sanit/sanhome for more information.

12. Program/activity prizes or awards may be purchased and distributed through the collection of tournament
or entry fees only. Fashionably Late Program funding is not available for such purchases unless deemed an
integral component of the program.

13. A funding request for "Professional Services" to contract with an artist, entertainer, or performer must be
accompanied by a Standard Engagement Agreement, which can be obtained in the Student Activities Office in
201 Wilson Commons
