Hey fellow (soon to be) seniors, it's been a great 3 years together and working on class council I've helped plan many great events. Most recently was Art Awake which I played a key role in planning and running. It was the most successful off campus event of the year which over 1400 people attended. This is an example of the magnitude of event that I can help plan in the future if re-elected to class council. Senior year is an important year for class council because the budget is significantly more than the other class councils, in fact it's approximately 3 times as much! This means that the senior class council has a huge responsibility and in order for it to run smoothly it requires people who have a lot of activity programming experience as well as dedication; I have the experience, the dedication, and the leadership skills to make senior events great! Senior year is our last year together and having meaningful events is important because it will provide us with even more great memories to last us a lifetime. The seniors set the tone for the entire student body and awesome class council events help build up our class. With your support, upon re-election I will immediately start collaborating with our new class council to plan extraordinary events beyond average senior nights in addition to starting the planning for our senior week which will be the grand finale to senior year. Again, please vote Nathan Danek for your Senior Class council. Stay classy (soon to be) seniors
With one year left, and one final vote, make it count by re-electing Mike Furlani for 2009 class council. As a dedicated officer since our freshman year, I will use my three years of experience to ensure our final semesters at UR are our best yet. Planning exciting and relevant activities will become my number one priority. As this years' Programming Chair, I hope you have been able to enjoy the numerous activities sponsored by our 2009 Class Council, including Junior/Senior nights, Midnight Madness, Art Awake, as well as the many other provided events. Our senior campaign requires additional responsibilities and even more hard work. Vote for the name you know and trust to get things done, and re-elect Mike Furlani for Class Council 2009.
My name is Janna Gewirtz. I’m your soon-to-be former Students’ Association Vice President and a former member of your 2009 Class Council. This year, I would like to serve you on the Senior Class Council! When deciding who to vote for, I ask you to think about some things. What do you want for your senior year? Do you want it to be packed with events like senior nights, great trips, and cheap concerts? Do you want it to be a year that you will always remember? Do you want to a part of a class that will always be remembered? Do you want leave a legacy? Are you ready to? If so, elect someone who will listen to what you want out of your senior year, someone who will understand it and someone who will work her hardest to give it to you, as she has done in the past! Elect Janna Gewirtz to Class Council! Make your senior year a year to be remembered!
Hi class of 2009, it's Alvin. I've had a lot of fun this past year serving as the student body president, but all the policy changing and advocacy reminded me of how much I enjoy planning events and promoting school spirit.
Next year is definitely going to be memorable for our class. Among other events, we'll have senior nights, Yellowjacket Weekend, Senior Week, and commencement to expect. I want to help bring programs like this to you and make sure the milestones throughout the year are fun and unforgettable.
In addition to increasing class unity, I have some plans to boost school spirit as well. We have a great opportunity to collaborate with Eastman and the Memorial Art Gallery. I also feel strongly that we need to preserve D-Day as a campus tradition - I'm currently doing administrative work now through student government to ensure its future and vitality. We're at a turning point in our lives, class of 2009. Both we and the University are looking to the future and we all have a chance for greatness. This is why I want to be on your Class Council. Vote for Alvin and we'll make it happen.
Hey Class of 2009! My name is Leah Ofsevit and I would love the opportunity to serve as a member of your Senior Class Council. I want to applaud the current class council for doing such an amazing job planning baseball games, junior/senior nights, spirit weeks, and tons of other fun events throughout the past three years. They've made me proud to be a member of the class of 2009 and I want to share that with all of you! I have a lot of experience in planning events both inside and outside of the U of R, and I would make sure that our Senior Week, Senior Ball, Senior Nights, Senior class t-shirts, and the Senior gift are truly unforgettable. We've all worked our proverbial butts off in the last three and a half years and we deserve the chance to enjoy everything that we've worked so hard for when we´re finally seniors. As corny as it sounds, I really do love the U of R and I think being a member of Class Council would give the the opportunity to give back to you all and show you how grateful I am for the amazing experiences you've given me. If you haven´t seen me around campus lately, it´s because I´m studying abroad for the semester in Salamanca, Spain. I´m having an unbelievable time, but I truly miss being on campus and I can´t wait to be back in the fall! If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, (either now or at any point in the coming year), please feel free to contact me at lofsevit@mail.rochester.edu or through Facebook. Best of luck with the end of your junior year and I look forward to seeing you all back on campus in the fall!
Charismatic, Energetic, Spirited, Mature, Organized. For the past three years I have used my skills to create a greater university life for the class of 2009; but I am not close to being over. Senior year is upon us, and I want it to be the greatest year of our lives. I have been crucial in the organization of Jr. Sr. Nights, and Spirit Basketball games, and plan on continuing to bring more quality events. Vote for experience! Vote for dedication! Vote for a leader who cares about the happiness of those he represents! Vote Moose for Class Council!
The 2009 Class Council has been a strong part of our class's present and especially our future. I would like to build on what has already proven as a success by adding diversity and new ideas to enrich the process. Holding various offices in my sorority, I am more than suitable for positions where event planning and campus wide activities are the focus. As a Class Council officer, I will strive to bridge the small divide among students by teaming up with different organizations on campus to hold events. I will make sure that student life and activities play a bigger role in our experience at the University of Rochester. Thank you.
~Elections will take place Monday, April 7th through Wednesday, April 9th. The link link to voting will be made active on the morning of the 7th. In the meantime feel free to read all of the candidates platforms so that you may choose the individual who best expresses your personal views.

Serving on class council over this past year has been a very rewarding experience. I serve as a programming chair which has allowed me to provide fun and exciting programs for the members of our class. Some of the events we have worked on this year were trips to Niagara Falls, the Zoo, and Strong Museum of Play. We have also co-sponsored events such as Winterfest Weekend, Art Awake and the always popular “feel the sting” shirts. I truly enjoy serving on class council because it allows me to give back to the Rochester community. If re-elected to class council I will work hard and continue to dedicate my time so that class council can provide everyone with the best junior year ever! Next year I hope to improve communication between individual members of our class and the council. I believe that it’s important to be in touch with the rest of our class so that we can provide programs that reflect the wants of our class. Another goal of class council is to bring our class together and provide a sense of unity. I will work hard to provide events that unite our class and bring us closer. I’m dedicated and willing to work hard for our class. So when the time comes, vote Julia Chambers for 2010 class council!
One final year. One final vote. It's been a fun journey thus far, and I hope all of you have enjoyed everything we have accomplished such as the Junior/Senior Nights, Art Awake, Fear at Frontier, Spirit Nights at the Basketball games, and Winter Wonderland. It has truly been my pleasure serving on the 2009 Class Council for the past three years. I am asking that you re-elect me for one final year, so that I can provide my experience and leadership to ensure that our Senior Year is as successful and even more fun then the past three have been.
With my experience, leadership, and dedication to the Class of 2009, it would be an honor to represent all of you on the council for one last time. Please vote Mike Shea for 2009 Class Council. Thank you.
Hi everyone, my name is Tal Cushmaro and I am running for 2010 Class Council for the upcoming 2008-2009 year. My past experience is more than enough to qualify for this position. I have already spent a year on the class council and fully understand its purpose and functioning, meaning that this year I will not have to deal with the growing pains and will be ready to jump in to my role without hesitation. Of course I was not just a member of the council without participating in council events. I had an integral part in planning the highly successful Strong Museum of Play and Seneca Park Zoo trips; I participated in the Downstairs Cabaret Theatre, the Winter Wonderland, the Cheesecake Massage Study Break and many other class council events. Besides my past experiences my qualifications and skills are also perfect for the job. I am diligent which means that I never leave a job undone. Also, I am very creative in my thinking and bring many interesting ideas to the council that often is put through into exciting events. Additionally, I am dedicated and make it to most events and usually have a significant part in planning them.
If I re-elected for class council then I promise to only improve on the great facets of this past school year in the upcoming 2008-2009 year.
Hello, class of 2010! My name is Sylvia Guerra and I am running for a spot as one of your class council representatives. I am interested in running for this position because I love being able to positively contribute to people's experiences at the college, and I feel that Class Council would be a great opportunity to do that for my own class year. I really love the University of Rochester, and I would like to help others have a great time here. I also think that my contribution to the position would be substantial as I have good organizational skills, and I have past and current leadership experiences here on campus. I hold executive board positions in both Messenger Magazine and ADITI, and have also learned to work very well in groups and other organizations. Though these experiences may have shaped my leadership abilities on the whole, it is my desire to really make next year a great one for us that I feel is the most important factor. Let's make junior year a great year!
Hello everyone, my name is Min Hur. I am currently the scretorian (secretary and
historian) for 2010 Class Council. I would like to continue to work with fellow members of the Class Council next year to maintain and develop class unity. As I worked with fellow members of 2010 Class Council during past years, I believe even strongly in the importance of class unity. I believe that 2010 Class Council has done a great job in organizing and carrying out variety of activities and events for the Class of 2010. I also believe that there is always room for improvement for upcoming year. For upcoming year, I would like to hold more activities and events that will encourage the 2010 student body to participate, and by doing so, we can form a more unified class community. I believe that as we interact with each other, we build the sense of unity and cooperation. Of course, the activities and events will be the ones that appeal to the class as a whole. I am willing to propose new or different activities and events such that have never been held before. I want to develop stronger sense of communication with the student body and the council so that together we can build a community and promote class spirit.
Hey Everyone! I’m Sarah Hyser and I’ve been a Programming Chair for the 2010 Class Council for the past two years. I’ve absolutely loved getting involved with our class and planning fun events for you all. Hopefully you’ve taken advantage of cheesecake and massage, trips to Niagara Falls, and Sophomore Saturdays. I CAN’T believe it’s almost time for Junior year! Let’s face it, by this time we’re veterans. We can navigate the tunnels, we recognize (and can deal with) the serious symptoms of Seasonal Affective Disorder, we know what NOT to eat at Danforth, we know where TO go for a good time, and we’re pretty good at avoiding those 9:40am classes. But what’s left? I’d like to say the better half of college.Looking ahead, I believe next year is an especially important time for our class. Many of our classmates will be going abroad, undertaking internships, and preparing themselves for the “real” world that is looming ahead beyond Senior year (ah!). I view it as an essential year, not only professionally but socially as well. Many of us have found our close groups of friends and are solidifying relationships to last a lifetime. Next year is a chance to show the university what we’re made of. It’s our chance as upperclassmen to set the tone for great school spirit and academic initiative. We’ve got a new bee and a new logo, but the same traditions behind us for support. Here’s to innovating the future but remembering the past. I want to continue the path I’ve started with all of you- I’d love nothing more than to represent our fantastic class as a member of the Junior Class Council.
Did you have a good sophomore year? Did you enjoy the Cheesecake and Massage study break, the trip to Niagara Falls, and the Zoo trip? Would you like more fun and appetizing events next year? I enjoyed being an active part of your 2010 Class Council these past two year and I would love to serve on Class Council again next year. With my experience, I will continue to plan amazing activities to create class unity and spirit. In addition, I will represent you by listening to your interests and concerns to continue to build strong class bonds that will last a lifetime. Please vote Katie Litts for 2010 Class Council! Thank you.
Hey Everyone!!! My name is NIKKI SOCASH and I am extremely excited to RE-RUN for Class Council! I think we can all agree that our sophomore year was nothing short of spectacular…and if re-elected, you can count on me to make our junior year even better! This year, I helped plan some sweet events such as the cheesecake/massage study break, ‘Sophomore Saturdays’ that included apple picking and a trip to the Strong Museum of Play, and let’s not forget about the ever popular trips to Niagara Falls! I hope myself and this year’s council made it a fun and memorable one for all of you! As your VP, I was a very RELIABLE and ENTHUSIASTIC member of the council. If you liked what you saw this year…and want to ensure that next year is just as CRAZY, EXCITING, and JAM-PACKED… then I would be honored if you would vote for me, NIKKI, for 2010 Class Council!
Hey Class of 2010!
It's KATIE WANG and I want to represent you on CLASS COUNCIL again!
This year, as Publicity Chair, I've helped to coordinate the events that have brought so many diverse people within our class together. I've loved meeting new people, experiencing new things, and generally being active on campus (as a Research Assistant, Freshmen Fellow, Chem TA in addition to Class Council) this year. I think that through events like Sophomore Saturdays, my plan to initiate engaging activities that led to meeting and cohesively bonding with our classmates more possible was successful. Remember being able to come together with friends to lament your status as an overworked sophomore while enjoying free massages and eating cheesecake during the winter study break? Meeting the Dean of Sophomores and receiving important packets of information about declaring a major during the Sophmore Ice Cream Social? Fun Sophomore Saturdays to the local apple-picking farm, Niagara Falls, and Strong Museum of Play? Enjoyed the Etiquette Dinner? I am optimistic that these events allowed not only allowed you continue to meet more of your classmates, but also forays into the city of Rochester. If you've enjoyed any of all of the above events, and want to continue the exciting and fun events next year, be sure to vote for me! I am extremely vivacious, outgoing, organized and hardworking. I will continue to commit using this position to putting your best interests at heart. If re-elected, I can guarantee that everything in my power will be done to make the '08-09 an amazing one. So, with all of this in mind, don't forget to RE-ELECT KATIE WANG for CLASS COUNCIL from April 9-11th!!!
My name is Eric Weissmann, and I have served as the President of the 2010 Class Council for the past two years. In that time, I have had the pleasure of serving our class by working with the rest of the Council to plan a number of events throughout the semester. For example, we ran the successful Sophomore Saturday program, including two trips to Niagara Falls, an Apple Picking trip, a trip to the Zoo, a trip to the Strong Museum of Play and a number of other trips and activities. All of these events and others completely sold out, demonstrating their enormous success within our class. This year I helped develop the new Winter Wonderland event. I coordinated the efforts of all four Class Councils and CAB to create a new, successful and unique event. Thousands of students attended to “embrace the winter” on the Wilson Quad. This brand new event proved to be a great success as attendance was far higher than expected. Next year’s Winter Wonderland promises to be even more successful. Junior year is when we go abroad, solidify our majors, have our hardest academic courses and start thinking about what to do after college. As a member of Class Council, I will make sure that we have ways to de-stress during this challenging year by planning fun events that we can all enjoy as a class. I will also make it a priority to help our class come together as we get ready for the most fun year of college, our Senior year. So, when the polls open on Monday, April 7th, I ask you to find a few minutes to make your voice heard. I also ask you to vote for Eric Weissmann for 2010 Class Council.
Once upon a time there was a buzzzy little bee. And she lived in a buzzzzy little beehive- one in which there was constant hustle and bustle. The beehive was no ordinary beehive- it was brimming with events, and parties, and bee gatherings. Now, this bee was okay with living her bee life passively until one day she discovered that she’d LOVE to be in the midst of organizing all these events that brought the beehive together. She related to most of the buzzzy little bees in many different ways- but specifically, she was one of them. Once this buzzzy bee starts, there’s no stopping her. Will you help this story find its happily ever after? For those of you who don’t know me yet, my name is Edisa. For the past year here at UR I have been active in the community (a member of multiple groups including the MSA and Model UN, and an employee at the answer to your sweet tooth-the Common Market). Those of you who do know me, can vouch that I am a regular at campus events. Basically, wherever there’s good music and good people I’ll bee! That said, I’d like to take that next step. Class of 2011- what are we missing??? More campus-wide events sponsored by us! If elected, I will plan events like an International Festival. Picture it, a carnival like spectacular. Vendors with foods from all points on the map. Performances. Music. Interested? Make it happen! Show your support and vote for a fresh face with fresh ideas April 7th –April 9th. A buzzy little bee. Edisa Andelija

I’m extremely excited to run again for a position on the 2011 Class Council! Being part of the council as a programming/social chair this year was a great experience that truly helped me get others involved with promoting spirit and unity in our class. As a member of the 2011 Class Council I would like to continue my work trying to create a fun atmosphere for students to live in and learn here at the University of Rochester. Keeping morale high, especially during stressful exam time, is something I am committed to. This was accomplished by study breaks organized by the 2011 Class Council this school year. A change of scenery is always nice; the 2011 Class Council was responsible for connecting students to many events this year that were off campus. Since my campaign at the beginning of the year I have believed students should keep close ties to the City of Rochester through off campus events. I would like to continue this trend and make certain students can always get away from the U of R for a while and relax, doing fun things with friends. Next year I would like to plan trips to Niagara Falls and other surrounding areas. On campus, the 2011 Class Council was instrumental in organizing such things as Winter Fest and Spirit Week. I have enjoyed planning events this year and representing our class at various events. I hope to continue the standard the current 2011 Class Council has set and even surpass it. I love to work with others and am positive I will continue to devote my time and effort to ensure the Class of 2011 stays a united, spirited and unforgettable class.
My name is Sharon Gunther and I want to represent the class of 2011 on class council. I feel I could do a great job at representing my class. Being integrated with a largely diverse group of people throughout my life, I feel as if I truly recognize the importance of diversity in a college setting. I would be able to appreciate a myriad of different people and groups. This would allow me to understand our class as a whole, and take into account everyone's views and concerns. I am friendly and try my best to get to know our entire class, and become familiar with what every student wants to be done. I am creative and dedicated, and have experience with planning large events at Rochester. Being on the Gilbert Hall Council, I have had to plan events similar to those held by class council, such as a Thanksgiving Dinner, Casino Night and a Superbowl party. I am very cooperative and would be able to work well with the other members of council to work hard and plan events that our class wants to be done. I have strong leadership skills that would enable me to take charge in planning fun and memorable experiences for our class. If elected onto class council, I will try my hardest to work for our class and making our sophomore year filled with fun and memorable opportunities. Vote for Sharon Gunther for the 2011 class council!
It has been my proud honor to be your representative on Class Council for our freshmen year. And it would be a great privilege to serve you once more on the sophomore Class Council. This year, Class Council has successfully executed various projects from a chocolate-themed study break to Spirit Week to the tremendously successful Winterfest. As a sophomore Councilwoman, I want to help plan even more fun-themed study breaks and exciting off-campus outings. Vote for someone with experience, heart and passion, Remember, Who Again? APRIL HU!
Hello fellow Class of 2011!
My name is Brittany Hylen, and I am running again for class council! I am a driven, devoted, dedicated, and spunky girl from Nebraska. If you choose me as part of your 2011 council, I will truly make a difference. Having been in it this past year I have the experience and knowledge of how to make next year even better. I really want to make next year even more fun filled and get you, the students, more involved. I am a hard working individual that never gives up. I reach for excellence in all that I do and want to do the same for our class at Rochester. Uniting us as a class is extremely important. I plan on organizing many programs and events for all of us to get closer and become a tight-knit group of students. Spirit and community play a vital role and really separate us from other universities.
Through different social events, services, and activities, we can truly reach out to everyone at our school and the surrounding community. As the class of 2011, we want to “make our mark” at this school, and I believe I can help make this happen. So, why vote Brittany Hylen for 2011 class council? Because I truly care about this school and our community. I have the best interest of this class at heart and I know have the know how. I will strive to make our class the best it can be. I hope you will vote for me as one of your class council members! I will truly do all that I can for the class of 2011! United as one, we can truly make a difference throughout our campus and community!
My name is Hannah Lejfer and I want to represent you, the class of 2011, for class council. I am hard working and dedicated in everything I am involved with.I also work extremely well with others and am able to take charge when needed to. For example, during senior year of high school, I was on a committee that founded our first sports banquet in which over 300 people attended. The success of that event shows that each new challenge given to me, I try my hardest and end up with great results- results that I want to share with the class of 2011.
Though schoolwork is important in college, having multiple social options are equally as important to stay sane throughout the difficult year ahead, and that’s where I plan on helping out. By planning events that appeal to our whole class, such as a “welcome-back” picnic in the upcoming fall, I will make sure that the sophomore class is given opportunities to relax and enjoy themselves. Just because we won’t be freshmen anymore doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t be given the chance to meet more members of our class.
By being on class council, I will make the class of 2011 stand out from all the others. I will put my previous experiences to use and make sure that your voice is represented in what class council plans. Thank you and vote for Hannah!!
My name is Danielle Parkes and I am running for re-election onto the 2011 Class Council. This past year, the class council has been successful in uniting the freshmen class through tons of fun events, and making their transition into the college life as smooth as can be. Some of our events have included Spirit Week (a weeklong series of events, not to mention free stuff!), various study breaks throughout the year, helping with ‘Winter fest,’ and co-sponsoring trips to Amerks and Redwings games! I put a great deal of effort in preparing for each event and enjoyed myself as I watched a job-well-done. I would very much like to continue working with the rest of the council in continuing University traditions, as well as being creative and starting some new ones!
I think the Rochester basketball season really brought students together and school spirit was at an all-time-high. It would be a lot of fun to center more events around Basketball and other sporting events, to further promote school spirit and give the class of 2011 something to look forward to on weekends. My position on class council this past year has given me the opportunity to meet a variety of students whom I otherwise would not have been able to familiarize myself with. If re-elected, I would work hard to come up with events so that the sophomore class could learn more and get to know one-another. All of us are here to work hard and have a good time, and I would like to be re-elected to help make sure that happens. . Thank you for your support, consideration and vote!
Leadership. Spirit. Teamwork. I believe the foundation of council is built upon these three principles, principles which I have done my best to implement during this Freshman year. Having been on student government for over 9 years, I know what it takes to employ these values into our class. Growing up in a foreign family has solidified the characteristics that are so essential for every leader; hard-work, teamwork, and openness. This past year I was chosen to be on council and as your class President. I have worked and will continue to work hard to ensure that every event planned is publicized completely. I will ensure that the events done are fully planned and well organized. Mainly, I will make sure that what council plans is among the interest of the entire class. This year was a successful year with many events that brought our class together. But I believe that it’s just this start. This year I propose:More off campus events, a way to bond with the community and to give every single member of the class of 2011 a true sense of the Rochester city, Innovative and creative study breaks, the chocolate fountain this year was just the start, Plan events that correspond to the interest of the class, not just of council, Work with SA towards the betterment of living on campus - such as living conditions, issues within each class, food concerns, etc. At Orientation, we were told that we were the most selective class to ever go to the University of Rochester. If you vote for me this year, I will do everything in my power to show that we were selected for a reason; that we really are the most spirited and dignified class to ever cross Rochester history.
Hi, my name is Jen Roach and I am seeking a position in UR's 2011 Class Council. As a fellow freshman student very involved in groups/clubs and activities on campus, I am well acquainted with the general concerns and needs of students here. If elected, I would fully commit myself to seeing that these problems are immediately addressed. There are numerous opportunities for improvement in the UR environment that I would like to see happen so that we can improve the quality of life at this esteemed institution. It's obvious to me that the level of student satisfaction with campus life and services provided is lacking, but the reason as to why remains unclear to me. There is no reason that we cannot provide better student services and increase the sense of school pride and spirit here.
Beginning with the reform to the "reformed" meal plan for next year, to improvements of the tunnels, to healthier, more satisfying eating options for students, to arranging more off campus activities and integration of students with the city of Rochester and the numerous opportunities it provides for entertainment and culture, I will make it my goal to accurately represent the goals and specific needs of the class of 2011. Please contact me with any questions, comments, or suggestions, and vote for me!
Hello, my name is Molly Sexton and I am running for Class Council. I'm a dedicated, innovative person who genuinely enjoys planning various activities and then making them happen. I was very active in planning dances, fairs, festivals, trips, fundraisers, social events, and recreational events in general in high school. I'd like to do even more than that here. As a student at the University of Rochester here, I have a personal investment in the social events that occur on the campus. What I've noticed once arriving at the school is that the students truly are grateful for the social events that planned, whether it be the talk given by everyone's favorite science aficionado Bill Nye, or the generous ice cream provided by the guys at Ben and Jerry's. I went to some of these events myself and saw the way that students reacted to having these opportunities, the immense cheering once either icon went on stage, and I'd love to contribute to making these memories personally. As I noted before, I have a personal stake in making this school culturally rich and entertaining for all prospective freshmen like me who want to have incredible memories of their college experiences. I have three years here before I move onto the world outside the campus, and I'd like to dedicate myself in those years to making them the best of our lives (so far)!
In the Fall of 2007 I was elected as the Publicity Manager for the 2011 Class Council. This opportunity helped me realize how important it is to be organized and to always keep an open mind. For the Fall of 2007 I plan to keep my mind open to any activities that relate to the advancement of our class; whether it be a fun or educational activity. As a leader of my class I will bring the leadership qualities I've learned from my freshman year and my colleagues in order to have a productive and successful sophomore year. This year, class council had the opportunity to work closely with the administration, dinning services and the Rochester community. I will make sure that this closure keeps on growing.
Hello, dear fellow students for class of 2011! I am George Wang. I am Re-Running for class council. In this year, I am the business manager. I am responsible for managing finance for the council. I, along with other fellow members of the council, presented many amazing activities, especially the memorable Spirit Week events. I am delighted that you guys enjoyed a lot! And I promise, you are enjoying and will continue to enjoy in your sophomore year. I am re-running to make more contributions to the happiness of the whole class and make more marks along the way.
I am eager to promote the class unity and create more sense of community by putting forward even more wonderful activities next year. You can surely count on me should I be re-elected. This year’s experience in the council gives me the necessary skills I need to continue serving for the class!
This year, my other leadership experiences include being the business manager for the Finance and Economics Council. I also participated in a lot of activities related to leadership, like UR Paychex Leadership Institute. All these well hone me to be a better leader for the next year.
I would be honored to have your votes! Thank you very much!
Hey class of 2011! My name is Michelle Winston and I am super excited to run for Sophomore Class Council! I hope that everyone has had a great year thanks to all of the awesome events around campus, such as Winterfest, Spirit Week, Midnight Madness, and many more thanks to this years class council. As a member of Class Council, I would continue planning many fun and crazy events around campus like a MORP party (an insane mixture of the eras), a Disney night, or a Disco party. How about a flag football tournament or a sledding extravaganza? I will also work to keep many U of R traditions alive! Class of 2011, you are full of spirit, excitement, and dedication! Lets show the University what we are all about with another fun filled crazy year! Vote for me, MICHELLE WINSTON.
My name is DANI WISCH and I would love the opportunity to be a member of 2011 Class Council again next year. I am very passionate about the University. If I am re-elected, I promise to devote my time to Class Council and be a voice for you. I’ll always be available to listen to your ideas and report them back to the Council. My job is to represent the interests of the Class of 2011 and help to make our second year at the University a memorable one. This year, I worked on a committee to help plan the SPIRIT DINNER during SPIRIT WEEK. The dinner had a Mexican Fiesta theme and included performances by the Jugglers, the YellowJackets and Vocal Point. Overall, it was a huge success and we were thrilled with the turnout. This year, Class Council has become more than just a weekly meeting for me. It has become a part of me. Often times, I spent a great deal of time outside of meetings helping to plan events and I am ready and willing to do the same if I am lucky enough to be re-elected. I want to work with the Council to plan events that continue to bring our class together, especially because next year we will be living all over campus, and possibly even off-campus. So please, vote for me, DANI LEIGH, and make my WISCH come true ?.
