Safe Ride Home
SA Government is pleased to offer the Safe Ride Home Service between River Campus properties and residences after bus hours. Safe and reliable student-driven van transportation is available by request at x5-3333 and can usually arrive within minutes. As part of this hiring process, drivers are screened for prior moving violations and given a defensive driving course. Drivers are equipped with radio communication to Security dispatch for safety, and all use of the service is confidential. The program is made possible through a generous collaboration with University Security. Any questions or comments should be directed to the SA Security Coordinator, Donias Doko.
Hours of Operation: 11:00 p.m. – 4:00 a.m. everyday during the academic year (no breaks or University holidays)
River Campus Locations: IT Center (Rush Rhees Library), Carlson Library, Todd Union
Residential Locations: Hill Court, Southside, Riverview Apartments
You can be picked up and dropped off at any of the six locations.
