The Mid-Year Report for the year 2010 is now available. A typed and printed copy of the report is due January 31, 2011 by 5pm to Susan Nielsen in Common Connections (WC 201). The report is MANDATORY for all student organizations who have advisors within Wilson Commons Student Activities and the Rochester Center for Community Leadership.
The aim of the report is to help the Students’ Association Government gain yearly data on all recognized organizations in order to better ensure the success of these organizations on campus. The report also allows organizations to self-assess, pin-pointing areas in which they may need assistance.
Two information sessions will be held on January 18th at 7pm and January 19th at 5pm. Both will be held in the Gowen Room of Wilson Commons. If you have any questions or would like assistance regarding the Mid-Year Report, you are strongly encouraged to attend.
Any questions can be e-mailed to the Chair of the Policy & Review Committee, Andrea Sobolewski.
Hello everyone!
This is a reminder to all SA-recognized student organizations (including those of you on Preliminary status) that you will need to fill out a Group Renewal form and submit it to Wilson Commons 201 by September 17th. Forms are located here on the Hive and can also be picked up from your Wilson Commons Student Activities Advisor. These forms MUST be filled out by the 17th. Groups who do not renew may be put on probation, and will have to go through additional steps, so please remember to renew!
The Mid-Year Report (MYR) is a new initiative of the SA Senate and the Policy & Review Committee. This new report, which will replace the old end-of-the-year Annual Report for budgeted groups, is geared toward all groups with advisers in the WCSA or RCCL. For both funded and non-funded groups, the MYR is a great resource for future leadership of your student organization. Below is the PowerPoint presentation introducing the MYR and the “minimum expectations” against which Policy & Review committee members will grade each submitted report. More information regarding the Mid-Year Report is available here…
Remember: The Mid-Year Report and supporting PPAC forms are due to Sue Nielsen in the WCSA by Tuesday, January 26 at 5pm. Download the MYR now… Or, if you are looking for some extra help or have questions Student Government and Wilson Commons Student Activities will be holding Office Hours; feel free to stop by!
The Mid-Year Report is required for all student organizations, funded, flat-funded, and non-funded, who have advisors within Wilson Commons Student Activities or the Rochester Center for Community Leadership. This report is an effort to gain better data on the organizations under the Students’ Association and help organizations achieve their goals, maintain better histories, conduct better officer transitions, and holds all student organizations accountable to the standard of the Seven Principles.
To help you fill out the report, the Students’ Association and Wilson Commons Student Activities will be holding three training sessions: Wednesday, Jan. 13th at 7pm, Saturday, Jan. 16th at 1pm, and Tuesday, Jan. 19th at 5pm. All trainings will take place in the Gowen Room in Wilson Commons, and you are strongly encouraged to attend. The report is due January 26th to Sue Nielsen in Wilson Commons Student Activities, typed and printed. Please download the report and take a look at it prior to attending the trainings.
In addition, the Students’ Association Government and Wilson Commons Student Activities will be holding office hours in the next few weeks to assist student leaders on a more individualized basis as they fill out the Mid-Year Report. The office hours will be held in the Ruth Merrill Center in Wilson Commons. View The Full Schedule of Trainings and Office Hours for the Mid-Year Report.
