Anne-Marie,

After a careful and thorough review of the process by which we have utilized “bar buses” and the problems and incidents associated with this process (and especially student misconduct during this process), I am directing you to discontinue all “bar buses” until further notice, effective immediately.

Three years ago, I asked your committee to look into the problems with “bar buses,” and to make recommendations for changes to the process. I find that I must again make that request of you and your committee. In doing so, you should feel free to invite any and all members of our community–both on campus and off–for advice, guidance, and suggestions. While it is impossible to know for certain exactly how long this task might take, I ask that you gather the group and start this review with all due speed.

Please communicate this message to any group which has or may make a request for “bar buses.” I look forward to your group’s recommendation. Thank you.
