Hello!!! I’m Sneha, a double major in Molecular Genetics & Public Health, from Mumbai-India. (Well, I lived on Long Island, NY for 2 yrs) My most cherished hobbies are dancing, reading and making portraits. UR was the right choice for me for several reasons - academic (open curriculum/medical research) and otherwise (diversity, size and opportunities) - that led me to believe it is the best environment where I can grow and nurture my interests. I am actively involved in several organizations on (and off) campus in areas of academics, leadership, community service & Greek life. Student government happens to be one such priority. I ran for senate as a freshman and served on Projects and Services, URSHAC (student health advisory) and SAAC (Appropriations) committees. As a senator, I played an active role in specific projects such as getting cheaper textbooks, updating the DVD library, reporting residential areas requiring renovations, advertizing UHS services, budgeting for all SA funded clubs and much more. It is a great honor and pleasure to be RE-elected to office for a third term. I hope to serve the student body dedicatedly throughout my time at UR, encouraging involvement from and stronger communication with you. Meliora!!
