About Lauren Sussman

Office: 2010 Class Senator
Class Year: 2010
Major: English, Judaic Studies
Hometown: Rockville Centre, NY
Involved in on campus: Ballet Performance Group, Chabad, and Campus Activities Board
Favorite thing about Rochester: The collegiate feel of campus buildings (especially on the academic quad), and our amazing bragging rights (i.e. George Eastman, largest laser, high ranking, best music school, amazing history, etc.).

From the Class of 2010, I am Lauren Sussman and hail from Long Island, New York. At Rochester, I am a member of the Ballet Performance Group, Chabad, the Campus Activities Board, and am a former member of the Tiernan Project and Off Broadway On Campus - I love the performing arts (dance, theatre, music), Judaism, and love to help out on campus in anyway that I can. I came to Rochester for its liberal arts program for Undergrads, its 5th year options, and the collegiate feel of the campus. This year will be my fourth year with Senate, and I have loved every minute. I joined in my freshman year to bring a younger voice to the Senate and be a fresher voice to the issues, especially those concerning the underclassmen. I have since remained to continue being a voice to issues such as Dining, Transportation, and Student Services. Having the best quality of life on campus is important because U of R is, from the month of September-May, a student's home away from home. Whether that is ensuring UHS is providing the best service possible or forming a student group on campus that focuses on a non-represented interest, I want to help fellow Yellow Jackets!
