About Eric Weissmann
Office: SA President
Class Year: 2010
Major: Political Science, Minors in Business and Philosophy
Hometown: Bethesda
Involved in on campus: UR Biodiesel, Class Council (formerly)
Favorite thing about Rochester: The seemingly unlimited options of things to do on campus, in the city, and by traveling not too far away.
I currently serve as the SA President for the 2009-2010 academic year. Previously, I served as SA Senator and Chair of the SA Projects and Services Committee I also served as 2010 Class Council President and Vice President and I am a co-founder of the UR Biodiesel project. I was born in New York City and I grew up in Bethesda, Maryland, right outside of Washington, DC. I came to the U of R because of the freedom that it offers, both academically and otherwise. For example, it has allowed me to pursue my interest in sustainability through the UR Biodiesel project without actually being a science or engineering student. In terms of Student Government, the culture of freedom on the U of R campus allows Student Government to work on practically any student life issue. My main vision for Student Government is straightforward: to increase communication with the student body. I look forward to spending the year doing just that, while ensuring that the essential projects of the SA are successfully maintained.
