Favorite thing about Rochester: The friendly atmosphere on campus.

I'm a senior Political Science and Classics double major. As a native of Western New York (from Orchard Park, a suburb of Buffalo), I knew that I didn't want to go to school very far from home. I came to Rochester ultimately because I loved the atmosphere that the students created - I was thrilled the first time I stepped into Wilson Commons and heard all those echoes! I was involved in Student Government in high school, so I jumped at the chance once I got to UR. I’ve been an Executive Aide, Chair of the Policy and Review Committee, a Senator, and Deputy Speaker. I ran for Speaker because I’ve especially enjoyed working closely with administrators and actually giving voice to student opinions. Outside of being in the SA and other leadership activities, my favorite things to do are traveling and being in different places, especially London, translating, and laughing with friends.
