Looking for something to do?
Head off campus to Brown’s Berry Patch’s Fall Harvest Celebration! The 200 year old family operated farm offers both pumpkin and apple picking as well as fall-themed activities to get you excited about the fall season including Hayrides, Cornfield Mazes, a Scarecrow Exhibit, Giant Slides and more. Having been voted as the best PYO Fruit location in Genesee Valley in 2007 and 2008, the farm offers 6 varieties of apples to pick and 10 varieties for purchase in their country store. Your sweet tooth will be completely satisfied by the homemade apple and pumpkin pies, pumpkin flavored ice cream, caramel and candy apples, donuts and cider available for purchase at the farm.

When can I go?
Brown’s Fall Harvest takes place every Saturday and Sunday in October from 10am-5pm. The farm is open for regular apple and pumpkin picking daily from 9am-6pm.

How can I get there?
Take a Zipcar! Zipcars are available for student use and can be taken from campus at an hourly rate. Students can register for the zipcar service by creating a profile on the campus zipcar website. If you cannot rent a zipcar, recruit some friends with cars for a day of outdoor fall fun!
Once you have a ride, take I-390 North to Lake Ontario West and continue to the end at Lakeside Beach State Park. Take exit 18 East, and the farm will be two miles on the right. Time estimate for trip: 40 minutes.
