Don’t Just Vote, Come to a Senate Meeting!

It seems like every Spring (or Fall for Freshmen), interest in the Students' Association piques during elections and shortly after, dies back down again. But, as members of the Students' Association, the student body is affected by the SA more than once per year. As the governing body for all River Campus undergraduates, the SA is students' most powerful advocate. As such, students should be more interested in what we do! Best of all, there are plenty of ways to get involved, or stay informed. Come to a Senate meeting, use ACJC to resolve an issue, e-mail Eric or Brittany (the SA Executive Office) once in a while, or come to a focus group or two. If you are so inclined, become an aide! But most importantly, be an active member of your community! Voting is a great start, but just that; a start.

Senate meetings are every Monday at 9pm in the Gowen Room in Wilson Commons and they are open to everyone. You don't have to stay for the whole meeting, and you can come in late if you want to. Come see what it is you elect us to do!

Nicely said. I dare anyone to attend at least ONE Senate meeting before graduation.
