The University of Rochester Midnight Ramblers were founded by Jon Huang in February of 1998. He thought it was necessary to expand the a cappella community on the UR campus. With two main goals in mind, the Ramblers were, and still are, dedicated to performance and innovation.

Since their inception, they have gone a long way in realizing that goal. In less than 9 years, they have produced six full length studio albums and have been featured on the nationally acclaimed BOCA CD (Best of College A Cappella). They also placed 3rd at the ICCA Finals in April of 2005.

The Midnight Ramblers have also been selected multiple times to honor our country at Major League Baseball games and other sporting events throughout the country. In addition, The Ramblers frequently volunteer throughout the City of Rochester, and over the past few years, have helped various charities raise thousands of dollars. The faces of the Ramblers may be changing (we look much better now), but the tradition of great music and entertainment continues to thrive.
