As part of the University of Rochester and the Warner Graduate School of Education and Human Development (WGSEHD), the Higher Education Student Association (HESA) is committed to a pursuit of excellence for all students interested in the field of higher education administration (HEA). Established in 2006, the HESA was created to foster a sense of community among HEA students, alumni, and faculty; to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas on current issues in higher education; and to provide opportunities for professional and personal development.
HESA is a graduate student organization with membership limited to Higher Education degree candidates (M.S, Ed.D., Ph.D.). Its mission is to promote professional development through discussions of current issues, movements, and/or changes in Higher Education, as well as to enhance rapport between members of the HEA community by serving as a forum for the dissemination of information at regular meetings throughout the academic year. If you are new to HEA and interested in becoming a member of HESA it is a simple process. You are already a member! As a graduate student within the program, you are automatically a member.
