1.) The build is October 25, this Saturday. Joel (jlangdon@mail.rochester.edu)
still has some spots open, which will be first come first serve. The
builds are 8AM-3PM. Don’t worry about the weather either; you will
probably be working indoors. So email Joel if your Saturday is open and
you would like to volunteer!
2.) The Homeless Home Movie is showing today (Thursday) @ 9p-10:30pm in Hoyt
Auditorium. It is free and a good way to take a break
from exams. Feel free to bring friends!
3.) The Spring Trip Build has been confirmed to be
South Palm Beach, FL! There are 10 spots available and take place during spring
break.
Requirements:
1.) $20 deposit to hold your spot once you email Gao (gchen10@mail.rochester.edu)..
2.) Must be 18+ or older as of March 8, 2008.
3.) Slight priority given to students that holds a valid drivers license and are
willing to drive. Otherwise, this is first come, first served, so email Gao as
soon as you can!
Things to Know:
1.) You work on building houses Monday thru Thursday then have the rest of the
week off to lounge on the beach (usually you work Monday thru Friday at other
locations).
2.) You stay at the local YMCA which provides all free meals, sauna, and pool.
3.) It’s a 21 hour drive from Rochester to Palm Beach (hence way valid license
holders have priority).
4.) Cost is TBD but will probably be around $100 (this includes ALL your meals,
gas, lodging etc.)
Email Gao (gchen10@mail.rochester.edu)
if you would like to be a part of a great spring break
trip!
4.) Our Goody Glass fundraiser will be 10/28-10/31 (next week). We will
selling cool light-up skeletons/pumpkins etc. If you would like to volunteer an
hour of your time to help out it would be very much appreciated. Email
Brie (bspinett@rochester.edu) if you
would like to select a time slot.
