Refugee tutoring

C. Drew volunteers with a refugee tutoring program in Rochester. This takes place on Thursday afternoons (beginning Sept. 24), and Wednesday afternoons (beginning Oct. 21). This project is currently at capacity, but you can email Katsia for more info or to join a waiting list for future opportunities.

Foodlink sorting

On Sat. Oct. 17th, C. Drew members will be volunteering at Foodlink, a Rochester nonprofit, to help sort food. Email Katsia to sign up for this project.

Be the Change Day

The Charles Drew Pre-Health Society participates in the "Be the Change Day" in honor of Mahatma Gandhi's tireless service. Students dedicated a day to provide service to the citizens of Rochester. This year's event will take place on Saturday, October 3. Charles Drew has reached its capacity for volunteers. More info will be sent by email soon.

Friends of Strong

Friends of Strong is a dynamic volunteer organization which advances the mission of Strong Memorial Hospital. During 2002, over 1,000 volunteers contributed more than 124,000 hours by: Providing services to patients, families and visitors through our various volunteer services, promoting the hospital in the community, and raising money to support patient care needs. Since Strong Memorial Hospital is within easy walking distance, check out the website to get involved.
