In general a drawing should have one main view with about two Projected Views. An Isometric View should also be included to give a better overview of what the finished part will look like. More or less views (including Section Views and Detail Views).

Before specifying dimensions or tolerances in a drawing, understand how Tolerance Stack-up.

All dimensions, with the exception of a Hole Pattern Dimension, should be defined off of one of 3 Datumns.
